Official Presentation of the Results of the Cadre Harmonisé for Food and Nutrition Insecurity Analysis in 26 Nigerian States and the FCT

The opening ceremony of this meeting took place on Friday, October 3O, 2026 and was chaired by Mr Nuhu Kilichi representative of Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in the presence of Ms Massaoud Wiliams, Head of food security and nutrition department of AGRHYMET/CILSS, Mr Jimmy Owani, FAO Representative, Dr Emmanuel OladipoAkogun, Director FD-DPP. The participants are the experts of the State and federal level services, their partners involved in the monitoring of food and nutritional security, the experts of CILSS, FAO, GSU/IPC, WFP, SCI…

The general objective of this meeting is to present the results of the analysis of the acute food and nutrition insecurity situation for the period of October to December 2026 and June to August 2027.

The Nigeria analysis covered all 26 states (Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Abia, Lagos, Edo, Enugu, Cross River, Zamfara, Rivers, Kogi, Nassarawa, Kwara, Ogun) and FCT.
